Qualifications/Experience

• Diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training is a plus.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as an Electrical Technician in utility department or similar role.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification or license as required by state.

Job Description

1. Repair and Troubleshooting:
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Repair or replace faulty components, wiring, or equipment.
• Ensure proper functioning of circuits, systems, and equipment by testing and troubleshooting.
2. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain records of work activities, including tests, repairs, and inspections.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to electrical systems and repairs.
• Update electrical drawings and schematics as needed.
3. Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Implement safety measures to mitigate risks during maintenance and repair activities.
4. Team Collaboration:
• Coordinate with other departments or teams to complete projects and resolve issues.
• Provide technical assistance and support to colleagues and junior technicians when needed.
